ESPHome-WLED is built for private, local network control. We respect your privacy and design our software to collect as little information as possible.

Local-First Communication

ESPHome-WLED communicates directly with ESPHome and WLED devices on your local area network (LAN).

Bonjour/mDNS is used to discover devices automatically.
Device Credentials (such as HTTP Basic or native API keys) are stored securely on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
Network Traffic stays within your LAN, except when you interact with external services you have explicitly configured.

No Tracking or Analytics

We believe your smart home usage is your business.

No advertising SDKs or third-party trackers.
No in-app behavior analytics or usage telemetry.
No account registration or cloud-based data storage.

In-App Purchases

The app may offer optional one-time tips to support development. These are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Review Apple's Privacy Policy for more details on App Store transactions.

When you contact support at esphome@grimm.au, we only use your email and the provided information to resolve your request and improve the software.
